Another year, another Ferrari SF90 Paint Protection Film Installation. Every time that one of these automotive art pieces enters those garage doors you know that your week will be filled with admiration and curiosity. The curves, the design choices, the presence. The Ferrari SF90 is a trophy to be owned and enjoyed, deriving from decades of Ferrari excellence. As Ferrari's first plug-in hybrid supercar, the SF90 represents a significant shift in the company's approach to design and engineering. With its powerful 4.0-liter V8 engine and three electric motors, the SF90 boasts a total of 986 horsepower and 774 lb-ft of torque. This combination allows the car to reach 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph.
This Ferrari SF90 received a Full XPEL Paint Protection Film Installation, PPF Ceramic Coating, Ceramic Window Tints, and Vinyl Wrap Stripes & Accents. The importance of Paint Protection Film on a Ferrari like an SF90 cannot be said enough. We can't think of any owner that purchased their Ferrari SF90 and didn't install Paint Protection Film. It is the natural thing to do in order to protect an investment of this caliber. The installation was like any of our other SF90 Paint Protection Film installations, smooth and seamless.
We performed Paint Correction on the paint before getting started to remove swirl marks on the roof and quarter panel. This way, when we seal the paint with the Clear Bra we know that the paint underneath is impeccable. The installation is a mix between kits from our industrial PPF cutting machine and bulking pieces. Bulking is when an expert PPF installer takes a piece of PPF, lays it on a panel and shapes it to the car without using pre-cut kits. This provides a seamless installation as some PPF kits have large, visible seams integrated into them that are not the most aesthetically pleasing.
Once the XPEL Paint Protection Film was installed, we applied a PPF specific Ceramic Coating to the film. The nano-ceramic technologies that make up the coating form a chemically bond to the clear coat and subsequently form a continuous protective layer. This durable and rigid glass coating protects the paint from UV rays, acid rain, environmental hazards, and acts as a shield. The coating also makes the surface hydrophobic to avoid water spots and adds another layer of shine to the paint. Following the Ceramic Coating installation, we installed Ceramic Window Tint to the vehicle. These high quality tints are key to protecting and preserving the interior of your SF90. To finish off this project the team installed Paint Protection Film on the special order Carbon Fiber Wheels of the Ferrari SF90. This included the spokes and the outer lip. This specific Ferrari SF90 example is a wonderful spec with Rosso Corsa Red and Carbon Fiber accents throughout. Other notable features of this example are the unmistakable Carbon Fiber Wheels. The owner wanted to make his SF90 unique with Vinyl Wrap stripes and accents. They shared with their ideas to make this happen. We took their ideas, threw in some of our own and created renders for the owner to look through. Mixing ideas together from different inspirations, we finalized on a design and got to work. Carefully measuring the material, analyzing the body lines, perfecting the placement and ensuring perfection, the First Class Autosports expertly executed the design.
